BLUE!!!!! It's a boy!!! He had his legs crossed at the ankles the whole time, so I thought we wouldn't get to see it, but he had his hoo-ha flipped up onto his body. Lucky me! Lol! He is indeed a boy, my instinct was right all along!!! Everything on the ultrasound looked normal/healthy and boy is he cute!! He was drinking/tasting his fluid, opening and closing his mouth and sticking his tongue out at us. I am obviously in love already <3 His heart was beating away at 130bpm this time, and it was really cool to hear it on the ultrasound instead of the doppler because it's A LOT louder and clearer. My regular appointment with my OB will be on Wednesday, so that's all the news I have for now! :) Basic, normal belly pics from early this morning... Photobucket

19 week midwife appointment

Well I had another midwife appointment today. I found out why she keeps saying I may not be able to have a home birth. She says my diet is heading straight for Preeclampsia. Comforting. Even though I changed a lot and I'm eating better and everything this time around, she still says it's not good enough :( She wants me to add LOTS more protein, and more fiber. yay. (note the sarcasm.) She has a colleague who will be covering for her while she is gone in September, so if everything keeps going well in my pregnancy, things are still in line to have my home birth. I don't need her confidence. I am convinced things will be okay, just this once.

Anyway. My blood pressure is still good, 96/58... and I didn't gain any weight since my last midwife appt. (Still at 141 lbs thank goodness.) My uterus is growing at the correct rate though, so that makes the weight okay. Ginnie said that I seem to have gained alot in the first trimester, so that's probably why I haven't gained in the second trimester yet. Peanut's heartrate is still in a good range (144 bpm this time) and he/she was on the left side this time. And that's about it....

Baby BPM still says boy.... We'll see on Monday!

19 week belly pics

Well, my belly has shrunk almost an inch... (I haven't been keeping track with a tape measure, but I use a ribbon :)) I'm not sure if that's a good thing, but there's not a lot I could do about it. I also have developed a rash on one side of my belly... I *think* it's just heat rash, because nothing I use has changed, and it's only on one side, but I don't know. Oh well...
