June 28th OB visit... with Dr Heins this time :)

This is my first "2 week appointment" and my first appointment after the whole glucose test ordeal. I did not get to see my regular OB, because she was on vacation again, but that turned out to be a really good thing. I saw Dr Heins instead. He was also on call, and he had a baby working his or her way out upstairs, so he was in a hurry, BUT unlike my "usual" OB, he didn't make me feel rushed at all. He heard my questions and gave me thorough answers and even joked with me and talked for a minute or two before he had to go. I like him MUCH more than my usual OB, so for my next appointment, I scheduled with him again. I told him that I would like to refuse the glucose retest, and he was fine with it. He told me he doesn't blame me at all and that he respects my decision. (He said he wouldn't redo it after that either.) The original gyno that I had been seeing before my pregnancy, and that I saw for my "pregnancy confimation" appointment had my weight down wrong as my starting weight for my pregnancy, so Dr H was a little worried, until I had him correct it. My weight is right where it should be. I lost 2 pounds, but that puts me at 25lbs gained, so we're still good. I am at 155lbs now. My pulse was at 82 when they counted it, and my blood pressure is at 108/70, which is still good. Killian's heart rate was slower than it usually is, but it was 125-130bpm, so it was still good. Nothing to worry about. It was a good visit. He said that because I am having a basic, uncomplicated pregnancy, I don't need to be seen again for 3 weeks, and we will re-evaluate at 35 weeks and possibly move to every 2 weeks at that point. Sounds good to me!
